In 2019, Pew Research Center estimated that 81% of Americans now own smartphones. If you’re like most people, you bring your smartphone everywhere. This means you’re never without a camera! Learn to take better quality photos with your smartphone camera. We will cover steadying your phone, basic composition and editing photos within your phone’s capabilities. Please bring your smartphone to class. Challis Sanborn owns Maple Street Photography in Milo, Maine. Challis’ photography career began with the film generation in the darkroom and has been educated in digital photography from Littlefield Studios in Winterport. Challis has photographed many events for the Milo community including The Color Run, The Blackfly Festival, and the Halloween and Christmas parties at the town hall. His mission is to share his photography knowledge to help others be able to move beyond that snapshot photo.
