A to Z Grant Writing ONLINE 

A to Z Grant Writing is an invigorating and informative course that will equip you with the skills and tools you need to enter the exciting field of grant writing!  You'll learn how to raise needed funds by discovering how and where to look for potential funders who are a good match for your organization.  You'll also learn how to network and develop true partnerships with a variety of funders, how to organize a successful grant-writing campaign, and how to put together a complete proposal package. 

This course speaks mainly to nonprofit organizations, schools, religious institutions, and municipalities seeking grants from foundation, corporate, government, and individual donors.  It's also an excellent primer for individuals wishing to become grant-writing consultants or community grant-writing volunteers. 

Many of this course's elements also easily translate to the for-profit field and to individual artists, and material specifically designed for businesses and individuals is included.  No matter who you are or what level of experience you have, you'll find the A to Z of writing and submitting successful proposals here!

While it is true that accounting professionals are scarce, those with corporate accounting experience are even more rare. This course will build on the knowledge you gained in Charlene Messier's online Accounting Fundamentals course (or another introductory accounting course) to provide you with a solid understanding of corporate accounting practices. In Accounting Fundamentals II, you'll explore such topics as special journals, uncollectible accounts receivable, plant assets, depreciation, notes and interest, accrued revenue and expenses, dividends, retained earnings, and various financial reports for corporations. If you're interested in increasing your financial awareness and accountability while also gaining a marketable skill, this is the course for you.

Advanced Drawing Fall 2018

Drawing, In this class we will continue with working on the Nature Sketchbook, in a variety of mediums from colored pencil, watercolor and pen and ink will be explored . A variety or techniques will be examined to create life like drawings from the natural world around us! Class will take in an En Plein Air workshop to Brown Mills where we can see the objects in their environment. A prior class in drawing with Suzette (or similar) is required. Join us and see amazing drawing results. Students need to bring their drawing EQ.

Advanced Painting Fall 2018

This fall we will take a break from the landscape scenes and explore the beauty and versatility of Faux Finishes. Students will learn to create rock, marble, bark and more.... plus how these techniques can be used to add decorative finishes to canvases, walls and so much more. Knowledge of painting and materials used is necessary. We will use artist's acrylics and mediums . Students will need painter's tape and x-acto knife q-tips, a larger Filbert brush or feather, sea sponge, small (hair) comb..... Suzette will bring a variety of fun tools to experiment with. Just too much fun....join us and develop great usable creative skills

Basic Firearm Safety Fall 2018

Calendar Sep 25, 2018 at 6 pm, runs for 1 week

Learn the basic principles of firearm safety. Students 18-20 years old may take this class in order to qualify for a concealed carry permit. Adults 21 and older interested in learning more about gun safety are also encouraged to attend. Accidents involving guns generally result from one of two causes; ignorance or carelessness. This is an NRA Firearm Safety course and a certificate will be awarded upon successful completion. This is a non-shooting class. No live ammunition is allowed in the classroom. Scott Chandler has 33 years of experience with firearms including hunting, target shooting, law enforcement, and tactical combat. He has attended Maine Criminal Justice Academy for law enforcement and corrections. Scott was a firearm and infantry instructor in the US Army and is certified with the NRA.
