A to Z Grant Writing ONLINE 

A to Z Grant Writing is an invigorating and informative course that will equip you with the skills and tools you need to enter the exciting field of grant writing!  You'll learn how to raise needed funds by discovering how and where to look for potential funders who are a good match for your organization.  You'll also learn how to network and develop true partnerships with a variety of funders, how to organize a successful grant-writing campaign, and how to put together a complete proposal package. 

This course speaks mainly to nonprofit organizations, schools, religious institutions, and municipalities seeking grants from foundation, corporate, government, and individual donors.  It's also an excellent primer for individuals wishing to become grant-writing consultants or community grant-writing volunteers. 

Many of this course's elements also easily translate to the for-profit field and to individual artists, and material specifically designed for businesses and individuals is included.  No matter who you are or what level of experience you have, you'll find the A to Z of writing and submitting successful proposals here!

While it is true that accounting professionals are scarce, those with corporate accounting experience are even more rare. This course will build on the knowledge you gained in Charlene Messier's online Accounting Fundamentals course (or another introductory accounting course) to provide you with a solid understanding of corporate accounting practices. In Accounting Fundamentals II, you'll explore such topics as special journals, uncollectible accounts receivable, plant assets, depreciation, notes and interest, accrued revenue and expenses, dividends, retained earnings, and various financial reports for corporations. If you're interested in increasing your financial awareness and accountability while also gaining a marketable skill, this is the course for you.

Nature at its finest! Rocks, wood, fields and more will be featured in this multimedia-composition using watercolor pencils, graphite and pen and ink on combined surfaces for a truly gallery worthy piece. Students will need watercolor pencils, graphite pencils, pens and watercolor trays and brushes, multimedia smooth bristol board (pad). Suzette will bring examples and a variety of surfaces and blending medium. A must-do class for the nature artist!

Advanced Painting Fall 2019

Carry on scenes on multiple canvases are all the rage and in this class you will learn the methods to making any scene a "multiple". Through the use of repetition of color, objects and themes, you will master a night camp scene and a moonlit moose on two wraparound canvases that will awe any viewer! Student artists will need 2 rectangular wraparound canvases for paintable edges size 10x14 or 14x18 or one of each! Fun and creative! Please bring your art acrylic paints and a variety of brushes, tray and water bin along with a light blue or brown colored pencil. Be prepared to paint the most alluring night scenes and have a lot of fun in this relaxed and informative class! Supply list below: Paints: Burnt umber, mars black, ultramarine blue, thalo blue, yellow light, quinacridone or thio magenta, titanium white; 1" flat shader or blending brush, 1/4" flat, 8 or 10 round, #2 short liner and #1 or 0 script, any small scruffy or "battered" brush. sea sponge, a couple palettes, divided water bin or 2 containers, pencils, paper towel and comfy clothes. Warning: Teacher is messy, but we have so much fun and help each other with peer advice. Feel free to bring in your questions and other paintings!
