Windowsill Gardening SUPER SATURDAY Spring 2020
with Trisha Smith
If you have a sunny windowsill, you can grow microgreens for (almost) instant gratification as well as start seedlings to plant in your garden later in spring. Most vegetables need outdoor sun and soil to grow to maturity, but tasty and nutritious microgreens are harvested young, and seedlings will be planted outside when conditions allow. This is a hands-on workshop-prepare to get dirty! Soil, seed, containers, and printed instructional handouts are provided. Trisha is UMaine Extension's Community Education Assistant for Home Horticulture in Piscataquis County.
Please note there is a non-refundable $1.99 credit card registration fee for online registrations. If a class is cancelled for any reason, we are unable to refund the $1.99 registration fee. Call us at 564-6525 to make arrangements for paying by check or cash, and avoiding the non-refundable registration fees. Paying online is safe, easy and convenient so if you're happy to pay the extra $1.99 registration fee, we welcome you to do so.
